NOTABLE WORKS
SELF-PORTRAIT IN MIRROR
This work I made without reference during a philosophy class, on a day I was feeling particularly dysphoric. It represents my difficulty with the mirror and self-image as a trans person.
PORTRAIT OF LYDIA BARNES
This is a second experiment into working with plane changes or more blocky gradients, the first of which can be seen in the banner. I really like the look this style gives off and decided to make a piece for a friend based off a picture of hers that I liked, in order practice it again.
PORTRAIT OF LIZ SAVAGE
This piece was one of the first without reference, as I tried to digitally paint a girl I was dating from memory. I ended up with a more stylized look &Â I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered, and does look surprisingly like her.
UPDATED PORTRAIT OF LIZ
This is a portrait done two years after the portrait to the left, this time with reference. It felt fitting to add it here. I have enjoyed working in this style for portraiture greatly, as it focuses on warm colors & the linework is reminiscent of my black and white pieces.
THE ARTIST INSIDE LOGO
Originally intended to be a placeholder logo for summer, this logo has become the face of The Artist Inside, and also marks the first iteration completely vectorized, which has proven useful.
THE PRIDE INSIDE LOGO
The pride month logo for the artist inside 2022, which went through many iterations but again embraces clean vector graphics and keeps to the round form factor of the original logo
SELF-PORTRAIT NUDE
A nude self-portrait drawn in the style of Delphine Cauly.
PORTRAIT OF NATALIE POTAPOV
This portrait was originally done in a completely different style (seen in the above banner), but was retrofitted to be considerably more warm and rose-tinted with reworked curls. It's a great example of my more general colored illustration style
INKTOBER 2023
Inktober is a month of daily illustrations with prompts, commonly practiced among illustrators. It serves as excellent practice, and is quite fun. Here are my works from my latest batch
